Country House Fitted With 148E Louvres On Apex Windows

Two apex shaped louvre systems have been fitted on this beautiful country home.

The left louvre system has an area of 8 m2, the right louvre system measures 15 m2, each have a motor. They are operated independently of each other via a remote control.

For the louvres, the choice fell on the 148-W, which is a louvre made of Western Red Cedar with a width of 148 mm. Western Red Cedar wood has a straight grain, is lightweight, stable and durable.

With red western wood you have the choice between treating or not treating. Whether you're treating exterior wood with oil, lacquer, or stain, you'll need to repeat that treatment every 2-3 years.

If you choose not to treat the wood, the wood will become grey over time under the influence of sunlight and weather. The advantage of letting it age naturally is that you don't have to worry about it.

Untreated wood has been chosen for this rural villa. That choice had already been made on the drawing board, anticipating the ageing of Western Red Cedar. And that works out very well.

The aluminium parts, such as the carriers, are coated in RAL 7021, black-grey anthracite. The jet-moulded nylon parts are in black.
